Now, before I start to talk about the things to come, I have to talk a little bit about the future. After last month's very successful Race of the Minutemen, where new captain Malcolm Waltz won a stage, the YC and ended up second overall, we said goodbye to well known Twente legend Roman Petrescu, who hung up the bike to go on with the rest of his life: In the car! We are proud to announce Roman will remain at Twente Cycling to train our climbers and TTers for the jobs at hand.
With Petrescu not riding anymore though, we needed a replacement. We called our friend Matrix Team and some negotiations later we can announce the signing of Jørn Therkildsen. And as lower division fans all know, we are now in the climbing-TT heaven of the schedule. And we have been extremely lucky this year. With our ranking being 180, we were able to subscribe for both division 3 races as division 4 familiars. In the next weeks, Therkildsen will trigger his top form to race Monte Petrano ITT, Jamundi Uphill and Akureyri and after his TF period, Arinsal ITT. We were on the edge, and on our way to glory!
